Hi. I’m Matt Miller and Upleft is my brainchild.
I help people make the most of their money. They have a vision of what they would like their world to look like, and it is my job to help them make the best financial decisions to create that future.
Over my career in finance, I have worked with hundreds of individual and institutional investors in 32 U.S. States and on four continents.
My best days at work are often the hardest ones. The times I have been most valuable to clients have often been when they are scared, sad, or just confused. These are the occasions when it is easiest to make an emotional decision or a serious mistake. In these situations, I am proud to be in a place to help guide people through a tricky period.
If you're looking for a financial path forward that you can follow, and someone to walk that path with you, then we should talk.
I have been a lifelong student of finance, having completed educational programs at The Rochester Institute of Technology (Rochester, NY), Sheffield Hallam University (Sheffield, UK), and Bryant University (Smithfield, RI). Since my first "hands-on" investment experience working on a scholarship fund in 1998, I have completed programs and/or received certifications from the College of Financial Planning and the Institute of Business and Finance. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. I have worked for two Fortune 100 companies and one FTSE 100 company. My planning and investment knowledge have been quoted in Forbes, Yahoo! Finance, MSN Money, and US News & World Report.
When I’m not building or executing financial plans, I enjoy collecting new stamps on my passport with my wife, Amy. When we are not traveling, we can usually be found playing with our dogs or volunteering for any number of local charitable organizations. We focus a great deal of our do-gooderism on the areas of poverty alleviation, addiction recovery, and on animal charities.
If you’re still just dying to know more about me, here are three things that a lot of people don't know…
I spent much of my youth on a hay farm. I still have the work ethic (and back pain) to show for it.
I am a member of the American Mensa society.
I was once an ordained Buddhist monk in a rural temple in Southern Thailand.
After all that, are you curious about how we can collaborate on your financial future?
Here is what you should do next:
